Fresh & Healthy Tomato Mozzarella Baguettes

 

This Most Delicious and Easy Recipe will have you wanting this for your every meal! Perfect for a light and refreshing lunch or a great little appetizer! It all Works! So Simple! The secret here is all about buying the best ingredients! 

Ingredients:

1 Fresh Artisan Baguette

4 Tomatoes, the nicest best Tomatoes that you can find, sliced

1 pack of Fresh Sliced Mozzarella, (I found this in the fresh cheese section at Metro)

1 handful of Fresh Basil, chopped

Good Olive Oil 

Good Balsamic Vinegar (I love using the Traditional Balsamic from Dressed by an Olive - Tecumseh)

Sprinkle of Maldon Salt, Pepper, Italian Seasoning and Sugar 

Directions:

Slice the Artisan Baguette into 4 sections. Then Slice each sandwich in half. Place on a baking sheet and Toast the buns lightly. I used our Toaster oven, although you could place them in the oven to toast for a few minutes. Just giving it a warm slightly toasted feel.

Slice the Tomatoes and at this point, I like to season them on the cutting board before putting then onto the sandwich, Lightly add Salt, pepper, italian seasoning, and if you wish a little sugar. I always add a tiny bit of sugar to the tomatoes. I believe it brings out the flavours and balances the taste of the tomato.

To Assemble:

Starting with the Tomato, and then Fresh Mozzarella continue in this pattern along the bread. Top with Fresh Basil. Drizzle Olive Oil and Balsamic and there you have it! Ready to Eat and Enjoy!
