Apple Crisp


There is nothing more warming than an Homemade Apple Crisp. It is super easy to Make for a quick and somewhat healthy dessert for after a wholesome dinner. You can also substitute the apples in this recipe for pears & cranberries for a different twist. It is a very versatile recipe, so get creative and always have vanilla ice cream on hand to add to the warmed Crisp! Nothing better than when the ice cream melts into the crisp! mmmm...Enjoy!
Topping: 1/2 cup Flour 1/2 cup Rolled Oats 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon Dash Salt 3 tbsp. Cold butter, chopped into smaller pieces Filling: 4 Apples, peeled and sliced into bite sized pieces 1/3 cup sugar 1 tsp. Cinnamon Zest and juice of 1 small orange Directions: Preheat Oven to 325°. Grease an 8" square baking pan Topping: Combine Flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon & salt. Work the butter together with your fingertips until nicely blended and crumbly. Filling: Toss apples with sugar, orange zest and juice. Sprinkle topping over the apples. Bake 30 minutes or until bubbling and nicely browned on top.
